Design Process

How does the design process work?: Begin by exploring the design packages and choosing the level of support that fits your project, then purchase it here on the site. After checkout, you'll receive a design questionnaire covering your space, measurements, photos, style preferences, goals, and budget. Your responses are personally reviewed, and if your package includes a Welcome Call, that's when we meet to align on the project before design work begins. Your design plan is then created and delivered digitally.
How does virtual interior design work?: Everything is designed remotely. You share photos, measurements, and details about your space through the questionnaire, and your design plan is delivered digitally, so you can shop, style, and implement at your own pace, wherever you live.
What is the Design Style Quiz?: The Design Style Quiz is a complimentary, optional source of inspiration. It helps you discover your personal interior design style, explore the aesthetics you're naturally drawn to, and begin with clarity and confidence. It doesn't recommend or select a package, and it isn't a substitute for a personalized design plan. Choosing your package is always your decision.
What does working with Maeve feel like?: Warm, unhurried, and thoughtful. Every design is created remotely and personally reviewed, so you'll always know what comes next without a single rushed decision.

What’s included in my package?: Essentials ($79 per room) includes a personalized design concept, moodboard and visual direction, key furniture recommendations, simple layout guidance, and styling recommendations. Refined ($139 per room) includes everything in Essentials plus a complete room layout and furnishing plan, furniture placement guidance, color palette recommendations, a curated shopping list with direct links, a 30-minute Welcome Call, and one revision. Signature ($219 per room) includes everything in Refined plus a 60-minute Welcome Call, expanded furniture and decor recommendations, additional design refinements, priority support, and up to three revision rounds.
Do I purchase the furniture myself?: Yes. Refined and Signature include a curated shopping list with direct product links so you can source pieces at your own pace. Essentials includes key furniture recommendations to guide your own sourcing.
Can I add another room later?: Absolutely. Every package is priced per room, and many clients start with a single space and continue room by room as their home comes together.

What happens immediately after I purchase?: You'll receive a design questionnaire covering your room, measurements, photos, style preferences, goals, and budget. Nothing begins until your responses are submitted and reviewed, since the questionnaire is the true starting point of your project.
What is the Welcome Call?: The Welcome Call is a project kickoff meeting held after your questionnaire has been reviewed. It's used to go over your intake, answer questions, and align on direction before design work begins. It's included with Refined (30 minutes) and Signature (60 minutes) only, and it isn't a pre-purchase consultation.
Can I speak with you before purchasing?: Maeve is a self-guided, digital design studio, so projects begin with a package purchase rather than a discovery call. If you'd like a conversation, a Design Consultation Call can be added for $35. It's a 30 to 45 minute video call to align on your vision and refine your direction.

How long does the process take?: Most single-room designs are delivered within approximately 48–72 hours after all required details and photos are submitted. Larger or more detailed projects may require additional time depending on scope and revisions.

Can I request revisions?: Refined includes one revision and Signature includes up to three revision rounds. Essentials doesn't include a revision round, though an additional revision round can be purchased for $49 with any package.
What optional enhancements are available?: A Design Consultation Call ($35), Paint Palette Selection ($35), and an Additional Revision Round ($49). Enhancements are available after your design plan is delivered, and are most useful alongside Essentials, since Refined and Signature already include a Welcome Call and color palette recommendations.

Where do product recommendations come from?: Every selection is chosen intentionally from a curated mix of trusted retailers, artisans, and independent makers, always with quality, longevity, and your budget in mind. Refined and Signature include direct product links so shopping is simple and unhurried.
Will my design look exactly like the mockups?: Design mockups and AI-generated visuals are intended to communicate overall direction, mood, layout, and styling inspiration. Final spaces may vary slightly depending on product availability, room dimensions, lighting, and installation.
